Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Cold War and Warzone welcome back the Haunting event.

Cold War and Warzone get creepier with new gameplay modes and operator skins.

Nuketown, the most popular map in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, gets a seasonal makeover for The Haunting. Nuketown Halloween is a nighttime version of Nuketown with orange string lights and a slew of other Halloween-themed items strewn about. The new map will be accessible in limited-time modes as well as your regular playlists. Care packages have also been renamed “Scare Packages,” and those brave enough to open them will be rewarded with pranks and sweets.

Multiplayer isn’t the only one who can have a good time. As a result of the Halloween event, there will be some adjustments to Zombies mode as well. A new task called “You’ll Never Get Out Alive” will be introduced in Outbreak, in which a team must survive a 10-minute round in a single zone. The zombies will become more challenging every two minutes as their health and horde numbers grow. The exfil point will spawn as far away from the players as the map permits, and every zombie on the map will be aware of their whereabouts. If that isn’t enough to make you nervous, Ordas will be waiting nearby, ready to stop a run on his own.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set in the 1980s and has previously included iconic movie crossovers such as John McClane and Rambo as Operator skins, The Haunting will feature more recent Halloween cult classic characters. The limited-time SCREAM Operator Bundle will introduce Ghostface from the Scream movie franchise as a single Operator — rather than a skin — that can be used in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Although the Haunting event may signal the end of Black Ops Cold War, at least one more weapon package, Split Personality, will be published before all eyes shift to Call of Duty: Vanguard, which has the potential to become one of the finest Xbox shooters. A duel-wielded Hammer & Sickle tool set will be featured in Split Personality. The package will be released on November 2nd and will feature two operator skins for Antonov as well as other goodies.
