If it turns out to be correct – but we have no reason to doubt it – the release date of House of the Dragon has been “announced” in a way that is simply absurd. She appeared in the bio of a central cast member and makes the Game of Thrones spin-off much closer than we might have expected!
The world is divided into two categories: those who wait patiently and confidently for the official announcements on the release dates of products for large and small screens; those who,
on the other hand, go so far into the maze of the web to find simply incredible advances. This time it was the first of the many Game of Thrones spinoffs, dedicated to the glorious past of House Targaryen, whose release date seems to have been revealed in a rather atypical, not to say daring way. If it proves true, we should thank Emma D ‘Arcy or at least her press office.
House of the Dragon Release Date
In fact, an update on her latest work appeared on the bio of the actress at the agency that is following her. On the related page of Roxane Vacca Management, in fact, among the various engagements of Emma D ‘Arcy, we read: “You have completed the shooting of House of the Dragon, the prequel to HBO of Game of Thrones. They play an important role alongside Olivia Cooke, Paddy Considine and Matt Smith. The flagship series will air in August 2022”.
Now, if you visit the page, the wording no longer appears, immediately removed, but the various screenshots have already taken steps to immortalize the leak.
One could think of a well-orchestrated photomontage, but as you can see from the posts you find at the bottom of the article, the wording in question is reported by different users on different social networks, and with different shots too. It remains only to understand whether the information obtained from the press office was reliable, which is likely especially because it was removed with such haste.
The series will be set three hundred years before the events of the main show and will feature Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, eldest daughter of King Viserys. But also the king’s brother, Prince Daemon Targaryen, an unparalleled warrior and dragon rider played by Matt Smith.
